- Pillows and bedding from brand stores — sitewide percentages. Coop Sleep Goods, whose Original Adjustable is our top pillow, ran a dedicated 25%-off Black Friday collection on its own site in 2025. Bedding brands that sell direct historically run sitewide sales in the same window. Whether the Amazon listing of the same product matches the brand-store price is something you have to check on the day — the two are not always aligned.
- Amazon's own event — long, and not just one day. Amazon's Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday events ran from November 20 through December 1 in 2025 — twelve days, starting a full week before Black Friday itself. That matters for everything we recommend, because every buy link on this site goes to Amazon. The practical consequence: the best price on a given pillow or sheet set may land on a Tuesday, and our daily refresh is how we catch it.
- Weighted blankets, sleep masks, sound machines — marketplace discounts, product by product. Deal trackers covering Black Friday 2025 reported discounts on selected sizes of YnM weighted blankets, among others. But this is a class of many small Amazon brands rather than a few big ones, and there is no reliable category-wide pattern we can point to. Our live deals page is the honest tool here: it lists whatever Amazon is actually discounting among the products we recommend, on any given day.
What rarely discounts, and why
- Tempur-Pedic.Mattress Nut's analysis is blunt: Tempur-Pedic runs modest promotions, rarely more than 10 to 15 percent. If someone has their heart set on TEMPUR foam — our luxury gift guide includes the TEMPUR-Cloud pillow — waiting for a deep November cut has historically been a way to wait, not a way to save.
- Budget foam mattresses. The same source notes that budget foam mattresses are already priced low. The arithmetic is the point: a percentage off a bed that already sits near the floor of the category is a small number of dollars, and our cheap mattress roundup is built around beds whose everyday price is the deal.
- Anything we don't have history on. We could not find reporting on, for example, how consistently sleep earbuds or wake-up lights discount in November. Rather than invent a pattern, we say so. For those, buy when the person needs it.

How to tell a real Black Friday sleep deal from a fake one
Four checks, none of which need a tool:
- Compare against the everyday price, not the list price. The percentage on a mattress banner is measured against a list price that Mattress Nut and others describe as routinely inflated. The question is never "how much off?" — it is "less than what it cost in October?" Our live prices are the October number.
- Ignore the timer.Countdown clocks on mattress sites reset or extend; the reporting says so, and you can verify it yourself by screenshotting a price and checking back in a week. A deal that is "ending tonight" three weeks running is the everyday price.
- Check the trial and return terms before the price. A bundle of free pillows is not worth a shorter trial or a restocking fee. Our mattress trial guide covers what to look for.
- Check that it is the same product. Older-generation models get cleared in November, and they are often near-identical to the new one — which can be a genuine bargain — but confirm the size, the height and the firmness on the listing rather than the sale headline.

Both things are true at once: the November price is often the lowest of the year, and the percentage printed next to it is often measured against a list price nobody pays. The fix is simple — know the everyday price before November. That is what the live prices on this page are for.
What sleep products rarely go on sale for Black Friday?
Two classes stand out in the reporting we found. Tempur-Pedic runs modest promotions — Mattress Nut puts them at rarely more than 10 to 15 percent — so waiting for a deep cut on TEMPUR foam has historically not paid.
